January 2016 Meeting

For this first meeting in 2016, the meeting location was changed up from the usual Team Powersports location, to Carolina BBQ in Garner, NC.  We reserved the bigger room that they have there again, as this first meeting of the year is handling all the logistics for the upcoming 12 months.

This includes the reading of the charter, ride waivers, and any other outstanding Chapter business.

I was a great turn out, and was good to see everyone and get all the "heavy lifting" out of the way while enjoying the year with each other over some great Carolina BBQ.

Looking forward to the first 2016 ride coming up in a few short weeks!

Annual Polar Bear Ride - 2016

As is traditional, on New Year's day, Star Touring and Riding Chapter 267 headed out on their annual Polar Bear Ride.

Brent was the ride Captain, and the plan was to head from Apex, NC to Greensboro, NC for lunch with a return trip afterward. 

About 8-10 of us met at the meetup spot at Bo 'Jangles right off of Rt. 64 in Apex at 10:00, and we rolled out with KSU at 10:30.  What was "strange" this year was the weather.  They high was near 52 degrees, so it sorta felt like cheating.

Heading down to G'boro we ran into a few other groups doing their own Polar Bear rides as well.

It was a great time and an awesome ride on mostly back country roads!
